Dropkick Murphys

Dropkick Murphys have announced their 2012 St. Patrick’s Day North American Tour with supporting special guest Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls. The annual trek kicks off February 22 in Toronto and wraps with the band’s second appearance at Washington, DC’s ShamrockFest (March 24).

Tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day North American Tour go on sale Friday, November 18 at dropkickmurphys.com. Details about the band’s traditional string of always sold-out St. Patrick’s Day week hometown shows in Boston will be announced soon.

On November 21, the band’s own Born & Bred Records will be releasing Going Out In Style: Live At Fenway Edition – a digital deluxe version of last year’s Going Out In Style album with 10 bonus songs recorded live at the band’s sold out Fenway Park gigs from earlier this fall.

This week we played two sold out shows at the legendary Fenway Park in Boston! Thank you to our amazing hometown fans and friends for making the last few days very special for us!

Last night we kicked off the Shamrock ‘n Roll Festival in Bangor, ME with Stiff Little Fingers, Street Dogs, Chuck Ragan (from Hot Water Music), The Mahones, and The Parkington Sisters. Today we’re in Altamont, NY and we can’t wait to get on stage!

Unfortunately boxer Micky Ward had to drop off the entire tour due to a recent training injury to his elbow, so he will NOT be giving his boxing demonstration at the shows. We all wish Micky a quick recovery.
