Across the nation, over 7,000 hockey fans have dropped their razor and picked up the cause.

Currently, the Boston Bruins lead all teams with over $93,000 raised for the Boston Bruins Foundation. One of the top fundraisers nationwide is Dropkick Murphys’, Ken Casey. Ken has raised $17,000 for his beard heroics.

Message from Ken: “Well folks it was a heartbreaker…but a great season all in all. We’ll get em next year! Thanks to everyone for helping my beard raise over $17,000 for the kids….amazing. Thanks so much for your help. GO B’s …and Go Blackhawks (my second choice).”

The Beard-A-Thon is to raise money for the Bruins Foundation, and DKM’s Ken Casey and Scruffy Wallace have already set up their accounts and are taking pledges for the cause!  Both of the guys will be getting their final shave tonite right before game one at the Garden.  You can donate, pledge, participate, rate the beards, or just follow along at www.bostonbruins.com or individually at:
