Dropkick Murphys will release the Going Out In Style: Fenway Park Bonus Edition CD — an expanded version of last year’s Going Out In Style — on the band-owned Born & Bred Records March 13 (one week later than previously announced).

The Fenway Park Bonus Edition includes the Live From Fenway bonus disc, recorded on September 8 and 9 in front of 20,000 Dropkick Murphys fans at the band’s sold out headlining dates at Boston’s legendary ballpark.

Also included in the package is a download of the filmed concert at Fenway Park as well as the complete story of Cornelius Larkin by the band’s friend and best-selling author Michael Patrick MacDonald (All Souls, Easter Rising). The Cornelius Larkin story is an expansion of MacDonald’s Cornelius Larkin obituary that appears in the original Going Out In Style liner notes

Dropkick Murphys will be joined by special guests State Radio at their March 17 St. Patrick’s Day matinee show at Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA, marking State Radio’s only confirmed 2012 East Coast date thus far. The 1pm St. Patrick’s Day show will also feature an acoustic performance by Frank Turner (solo), as well as Australian openers Ramshackle Army. The 7pm St. Patrick’s Day show at Tsongas Arena will include Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls supporting Dropkick Murphys.

A third St. Patrick’s Week show in Boston has been announced – Wednesday, March 14th at the House of Blues!

Starting this morning at 8am EST, Dropkick Murphys’ fans can purchase a limited quantity of tickets before the general public. Buy tickets now! All other tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday on Ticketmaster.com.

Another show has been announced on March 18th in Allston, MA at the Brighton Music Hall. Tickets are only available the day of the show, at the door. No advance tickets will be released, so get there early to get in!

Greetings everybody just wanted to say hi, thanks, sorry, etc, etc whatever the case may be.

Christmas season or your holiday of choice is upon us and we just wanted to share our love and gratitude with you all. We are lucky enough to have the greatest fans, family, friends and crew on earth. Here is an example for your yuletide listening pleasure of just how great and thoughtful our road crew truly is!

They have selflessly taken the time to record all their gas related issues from the last tour and have compiled them here in a special holiday greeting that we just received from them today…

We were so moved and touched by this thoughtful display of affection that we thought we’d share it with you here. ENJOY!!!!

And in unrelated and less important news we are currently writing a brand new record that will be recorded in April and released in September. And it’s pretty damn fun so far!!!!!

We are also working on the finishing touches on our Going Out In Style deluxe edition with 90 minutes of Live At Fenway audio and video as well as the limited edition Live At Fenway vinyl release.

And lastly on the touring front, we are adding more shows for St. Patrick’s week and for 2012 in general.
