The Dropkick Murphys and the Claddagh Fund are supporting the Boston Bruins’ playoff bid in their annual Foundation Beard-a-thon. Ken Casey and Scruffy Wallace are growing one for our boys in black and gold and again proving their beard-growing and fundraising prowess!  Ken has something to prove this year and needs your help to do it!  Last year, at the close of the contest, Ken was the leading fundraiser across the NHL…that was before Bruins’ legend Bob Sweeney stole the title by landing a big donation after hours to take over the first place spot.  Despite the antics of Mr. Sweeney, Ken and Scruffy are back at it again this year and looking for revenge!  Please visit www.claddaghfund.org to check out the progress of the beards and to donate online.

Celebrity OysterFest
The Claddagh Fund is hosting our next event—Celebrity OysterFest 2010—on May 12th at 88 Wharf Riverfront Grille in Milton, MA.  Ken Casey and his band mates, along with family, friends and loads of local celebrities are kicking off the summer patio season at this awesome waterfront restaurant.  For $75 enjoy a fresh raw bar, appetizers, wine and beer to help us raise tons of money for the Claddagh Fund.  Buy Tickets here.

Greg “Chickenman” Riley Memorial Golf Tournament
We’re celebrating the memory of our buddy, Greg “Chickenman” Riley, with the sixth annual memorial golf tournament on Saturday, May 22nd at Ballymeade Country Club in Falmouth, MA.  Come hit the links with us and/or join us for post golf dinner and charity poker to help us raise money and honor the memory of our friend, Chickenman.  Get all the details here.

The Claddagh Fund is happy to announce our partner for 2010, EchoStor Technologies!  This dynamic company based out of Hopkington, MA has pledged to support our events and promotions throughout the year.  We are thrilled with EchoStor’s commitment and their support will help the Claddagh Fund raise more money for worthy charities all over Massachusetts, the USA, Ireland and the world!  We are honored to have EchoStor as a partner.

We wanted to thank all the people who ordered their copy of our new live album “Live On Lansdowne” direct through the DKM mail order company. As you may know everyone who ordered the album through our website before March 17th was automatically entered into a prize draw.

We are happy to announce that the winner of the all-expense trip to Dublin was KAYLA CARDEN from Rhode Island. Kayla happened to be at our St Patrick’s Day show in Boston when we announced the winners so we know she is a true DKM fan!

Today we also drew the winner of the Claddagh Fund raffle for a second all-expense trip to Dublin & the winner of that was CAROL CURLEY from Florida.

Ladies, we hope you & your guests have a great time on the trip & we expect to see some photos!
