Hey everybody, we’re out here on tour and everything is going great! Lots of exciting news and exciting things happenin! Just wanted to keep you in the loop…
First and foremost; the LIVE album is coming out in a few weeks on March 16th. Please remember, if you PRE-ORDER the album at DropkickMurphys.com you’ll be entered to win a trip to Ireland with the Dropkick Murphys… which is gonna be one hell of a time!
Secondly; as you all know, we started a charitable organization, the Claddagh Fund. Up until now our efforts have mainly focused on raising money in the Boston area, but we’re excited to announce that we are now taking “the show on the road,” so to speak. First, with the creation of the “Friends of the Claddagh Fund” which is a club of sorts consisting of like-minded supporters around the country and the world who have expressed interest in getting involved with the Claddagh Fund, setting up events and fund raisers in their cities. And lastly, we have been running some fundraising events for the Claddagh Fund at many of the shows on our current tour. For a ten dollar charitable donation you’ll have the chance to win backstage passes for you and a friend to hang out with the band at a show in your town, take photos, drink our beer, etc (if you’re over 21 of course, otherwise you can have our soda)… as well as a rare, limited edition, silk-screened, autographed Dropkick Murphys Winter Classic poster that is no longer available for sale.
